Automatic checkpoints causing task to hang

What happened?

After update to 3.7.7 the tasks are not moving.

When I enter a task and press enter nothing happens, I get the the task card and no execution happens.

Downgrading to version 3.7.6 fixes the issue

Steps to reproduce

1. Upgrade to 3.7.7 or newer
2. Try to execute any task

Update: It seems to be related to automatic checkpoints, disabling Enable automatic checkpoints on settings made it work again

@brunocleite have you tried to repro this in 3.7.12?

With 3.7.12 I now get a spinner and a message

"Still initializing checkpoint... if this takes too long you can disable checkpoints in settings and restart the task"

I left it there for a couple minutes and it went back to the task list after some time.
