when go into chat history (view all), click on a chat history, roo code will automatically remove that chat history without notice.

Detailed Steps to Reproduce

1. view all
2. click one of the chat message body
3. roo code removes that chat history

What OS are you running? This is removed because it was not in fact saved into your hard drive where it was supposed to so the appearance of the chat exisiting is there beusae that is stored in the global state but then when it checks against the actual existence of the files it clears them from the list becasue they don't exist. .... I think.

I'm running macOS 15.3.2 with VS code Version: 1.98.2 (Universal). I also found that this happens to Cline as well, though i use roo code most often. So it is VS code issue?

Permissions issue maybe?

Oh that reminds me.. maybe I should buy applecare..

hmmmm, dont really think so (permission issue). It just happened again, when i tried to open a local file instead of SSH to replit. Click on the first chat history and it is gone and not available.

you can repro this issue by viewing all chat history and select export the most recent chat, it will remove the chat history.

what about you open project A via SSH, ask some question and edit some file, then open another project B (fork from A)via SSH, and click on the chat you had with project A.

Similar behavior is described in #2540.
You can check the developer console for errors, see if that provides a clue.

Do you perhaps use different remote ssh servers? #495 (comment) ?

I ssh into a remote machine from different computers and roo saves the conversation locally to the computer that I'm connected from. It currently makes it impossible to switch task between computers unless I manually copy over the task history.
