Actual vs. Expected Behavior

I am using AWS Bedrock's Claude 3.5 sonnet V2.

I was able to use Bedrock with Roo Code 3.11.4,
but after updating to Roo Code 3.11.5 or later,
the following error message appears:
"The provided model identifier is invalid.”

Do I need to change any settings to use Bedrock models in Roo Code 3.11.5 or later?
I couldn't find any similar questions, but if there are any, please let me know.

Detailed Steps to Reproduce

1.Register profile information using the AWS CLI
2.Select “AWS Profile” in the provider settings and specify the registered profile name and Bedrock model name

Hi @zenithfull , could you reconfirm if this issue still exists in the latest Roo Code version? I made a fix for ARN validation in 3.11.15, could you ensure your Roo is at or higher than this version and retest for me please?

I am encountering the same issue when trying to use Claude Sonnet 3.5 v2 with AWS Bedrock.

Hi @zenithfull and @kenlayug0812, I am really sorry for the slow response.

I believe this issue is being caused by the prompt router implementation within bedrock, i.e, the cross region inference that you are using.

Could you both try once more for me and check the console for errors? You can access the console via 'Help' --> 'Toggle Developer Tools'

Unfortunately I have no direct way to test this myself as do not have my own Bedrock access with cross-region inference.

Unfortunately the error log does not reveal anything about the Bedrock API response.

Out of interest, do Bedrock API calls work if you do not use 'cross-region inference'? If you change to use us-east1 or us-west1 for example?

Are you able to share any of the profile details that you have setup? Maybe there is mismatch there?

We verified the results with and without using 'cross-region inference'.
When we specified the ARN listed in the AWS Dashboard's cross-region interface, we were able to successfully call the cross-region model.

1. When not using 'cross-region inference' in Tokyo (ap-northeast-1)
   The model was successfully called.

   The model was successfully called.
