🔁 Steps to Reproduce

I installed Roocode to Visual Studio Code on my Mac and set it up to connect to anthropic/Claude Sonnet 4 via OpenRouter. Just to get started, I gave a simple prompt that I wanted to build a to-do app and gave it a couple of guidelines on how I like it to proceed. I did this inside a new, Flutter project. In return, it displays a spinning circle at API Request. The log shows a list of files that would go into a multi-platform Flutter app and that's it. It stays here and does nothing more. I tried it a second time with the same result.
let's build a to-do app with flutter. some initial requirements: the app will use the builtin methods for managing state, that is, no provider or riverpod, etc. Also we will be implementing simplified unidirectional data flow as described in the document https://www.nimblesite.co/simplified-unidirectional-data-flow/ . Before we get started, are you with me, so far?

Thanks for the report.

To help us investigate, could you check a few things?

• Do you see any error messages?
• Does anything show up in the OpenRouter activity dashboard for those requests?
• Are other models working for you, or is the issue specific to claude-sonnet-4?

Without this info, it's hard to tell if the issue is with the model, the API, or the Roo Code integration.

it's happened only once and not since. Other than listing a bunch of app-specific files for flutter that it was going to create, that's all I saw logged. One thing if it's possible, timeout after say a minute, then try pinging the the API and if you get a response, then ping the model via the API. Then depending on which one doesn't respond, you can notify the user where the disconnect is. Of course if you can't get a response from the API, it's also possible Roocode itself could be hung.
