When you open any workspace with multiple folders, you will find that the codebase index is always only valid for the first folder.

💥 Outcome Summary

I hope that when I switch to another folder, RooCode will display the codebase index status of the corresponding directory and call code_search of the corresponding folder. But it is always the first folder.

Hi @NaccOll! I'm here to help out the maintainers and am going to see if I can fix this issue with multi-folder workspace support. I'll investigate why the codebase index only works for the first folder and work on making it properly update when switching between folders in a multi-folder workspace. I'll keep you posted on my progress!

PR #6198 has been created to fix the multi-folder workspace issue for codebase indexing.

The fix includes:

• Updated CodeIndexManager to use the active workspace folder instead of always using the first folder
• Added workspace change detection that triggers code index re-initialization when switching folders
• Integrated with the existing WorkspaceTracker to handle workspace changes

All CI checks have passed successfully. The codebase index will now update dynamically when switching between folders in a multi-folder workspace.
