Start new chat, add a url and ask about the url content, wait few seconds
Error fetching content for https://daisyui.com/llms.txt: Failed to fetch URL content: net::ERR_ABORTED at https://daisyui.com/llms.txt
Looking the vscode console there's few errors, also the network section is empty, no http request made by the extension:

Hi @QuinsZouls! I'm here to help out the maintainers and am going to see if I can fix this URL fetching issue. I'll investigate why the extension is getting net::ERR_ABORTED errors when trying to fetch URL content and work on a fix. Thanks for the detailed bug report with screenshots!

Hi @QuinsZouls! I've created a pull request to fix this issue: #6635

The fix includes:

• Specific handling for net::ERR_ABORTED errors with a more aggressive retry strategy
• Improved error messages that explain possible causes and suggest checking if the URL is accessible in a regular browser
• Comprehensive tests for the new error handling

The PR is currently going through CI checks. Once it's reviewed and merged, the error handling for URL fetching should be much more robust and user-friendly.

Updates: This is only can be replicated on linux host, no issues with Mac or windows OS.
