Hi @NaccOll! I've created a pull request to fix the highlight layer misalignment issue: #6649

The fix ensures that the highlight layer uses the same padding values as the textarea, which should resolve the alignment problem you reported. The PR includes:

• Synchronized padding between the highlight layer and textarea
• Support for both normal and edit modes
• All tests passing
