🔁 Steps to Reproduce

It just happens randomly but seems to be related to long chats. This has been happening for more than 6 months, so it's nothing new. I use the Roo extension in the editor, so when the gray screen happens, I just right-click the tab and open in new window and that removes the gray screen which is otherwise covering the entire chat window. I'll post a screenshot next time it happens, which is basically every day.

I've created a pull request to fix the gray screen issue: #7166

The fix implements multiple layers of protection:

• Enhanced error boundary with recovery mechanism and better UI
• Improved memory management for long chat sessions
• Optimized virtual scrolling performance
• Added error handling with graceful degradation

This should prevent the gray screen from appearing and provide recovery options if any issues do occur. The CI checks are currently running on the PR.
