I am not sure what exactly triggers it, but some tool calls will emit a "Error executing the command: current ask promise was ignored." error. This confuses the model and forces it to retry.

There has been an earlier ticket for this exact same issue here: #2551

But I am unable to open it, as it's not mine. It was fixed back then for the models that were being used, but there have been 3 different people reporting the same issue with gpt-oss-120b

I've opened PR #7313 with a fix for this issue: #7313

The fix replaces the confusing "Current ask promise was ignored" error messages with more descriptive ones that clearly indicate this is expected behavior during partial message handling. This should prevent the error from confusing AI models while maintaining the existing control flow.

All tests pass and the CI checks are currently running.
