windows-mcp allows to control a windows PC with an AI agent

you can test a desktop app or a web app in a browser like if your webapp has a file picker the windows-mcp with the roo code AI agent can open a browser load the webapp, pick a file and continue testing the webapp! or you can instruct the roo code AI Agent to use windows-use mcp to use some credentials in a desktop app or webapp and login/signup and test your app

additionally windows-mcp could be used to fully control the vs code IDE and roo code itself creating a powerful workflow for the developer like a meta system of managing roo code and vs code itself from roo code and vs code within!

After investigating the codebase, I found that MCP servers in the marketplace are fetched from a remote API endpoint (https://api.roocode.com/api/marketplace/mcps) rather than being stored in this repository.

The marketplace items are managed externally, which means adding windows-mcp to the MCP Marketplace would require updating the backend data source that serves this API.

Could you clarify:

1. Is there a specific process or repository for submitting new MCP servers to the marketplace backend?
2. Should this be handled through a different channel or repository?
3. Would you like me to create a local example/documentation showing how windows-mcp could be configured once it's added to the marketplace?

This would help ensure the windows-mcp server is properly added to the marketplace system.

I've created PR #7614 with a sample configuration for windows-mcp: #7614

The PR includes:

• A complete YAML configuration file for windows-mcp following the marketplace schema
• Multiple installation methods (uvx, pip, development)
• Documentation explaining how marketplace submissions work

Since the marketplace items are managed through an external API, this configuration can be used by the maintainers to add windows-mcp to the marketplace backend. All CI checks have passed successfully.
