When using the duplicate workspace for VSCode to create more than one instance in the workspace roocode will be the same in each window. Like it uses the workspace as a key or something. I noticed this when using the cloud but I assume it happens out side of that. This is on windows.

🔁 Steps to Reproduce

1. Open up VS code and roo code in vs
2. Ctrl+p or > in terminal.
3. Type dupl and select duplicate workspace
4. Do a command in roo code
5. Do another command in the other roo code and it will overwrite the first vscode and they will be both in sync.

💥 Outcome Summary

1. Killed existing roo code context
2. Does not allow multiple roo codes at the same time

Thanks for reporting this. Roo Code currently does not support running multiple independent instances within the same workspace. When you duplicate a workspace, both windows still share the same underlying workspace identity, so Roo Code treats them as the same session.

At the moment, supporting multiple isolated Roo Code contexts for duplicated workspaces is not on our roadmap. If you need to work with separate instances, the recommended approach is to open distinct workspaces (different folders or projects) rather than duplicating the same one.
