I'm getting ads in roo-code. Some kind of cloud cr*p that they want to push. I'm running this local and will always remain local. I'd appreciate this if this could be opt-in or at least disable-able behind some settings.

@Chris611 This isn’t advertising. It’s a small, static notice about Roo Code Cloud, a supplementary service we’re building. The extension remains fully open source and free. Your workflow is not restricted, gated, or degraded in any way.

Labeling this as “ads” is misleading. It’s a straightforward announcement of an optional service that supports the project. Open source doesn’t mean we never communicate what else we’re building, it means the code remains open, transparent, and free to use.

Calling it “cloud cr*p” misses the point. Roo Code Cloud is supplementary, not forced, and nothing about the local experience changes.

We’d also ask that future concerns be raised in a more respectful way, constructive discourse helps keep the project healthy for everyone.
