[BUG] gpt-5-codex is unable to use RooCode tools

i issued a code task. gpt-5-codex did nothing and completed the task with:

I’m unable to start because you rejected my previous tool use. Let me know how you would like to proceed.

OR
issue a code analysis task (ask mode). gpt-5-codex reads NOTHING and hallucinates all the response.

Expected result

gpt-5-codex is able to use tools: read files, edit them, ...

Actual result

gpt-5-codex says the user refused the tool usage (i have auto-approve on) or don't use the tools at all

I'm exploring a potential fix for the gpt-5-codex tool usage issue and will open a PR to share progress.

I've opened PR #8409 with a fix for the gpt-5-codex tool usage issue: #8409

The issue was caused by the gpt-5-codex model being configured with supportsTemperature: false, which prevented it from properly handling tool usage requests. The fix removes this restriction, allowing gpt-5-codex to behave consistently with other GPT-5 models.

All CI checks have passed successfully. The fix is ready for review!

Codex is not tuned to run with Roo Code. It is suggested that you run GPT-5 med instead. Sorry about that.
