I'm exploring a potential fix for the Magistral [THINK]...[/THINK] reasoning tags not being recognized. I'll open a PR to share progress.

I've opened PR #8523 with a fix for the Magistral [THINK]...[/THINK] reasoning tags issue: #8523

The solution creates a new SquareBracketMatcher class to handle the square bracket syntax used by Magistral models, while maintaining backward compatibility with existing XML-style tags. All CI checks have passed successfully.

Thanks for reporting this! We currently parse reasoning only from the dedicated reasoning portion of a model’s output.
If a model mixes reasoning content directly into the main output, it won’t be parsed - that’s expected behavior for now.
We don’t plan to change this at the moment, but we appreciate you bringing it up.
