[BUG] VS Code extension is very laggy on visit

When opening or switching to the ROO extension tab in VS Code, the interface becomes extremely laggy. Actions such as scrolling, clicking buttons, or typing in input fields experience noticeable delays. The slowdown persists until the extension tab is closed

Context (who is affected and when)

When I search Roo code on extension, click on the Roo, it's being laggy

I'm exploring a potential fix for the performance issue when viewing the extension details. I'll investigate if the README size is causing the lag and will open a PR to share progress.

Opened PR #8529 with my attempt at addressing this issue: #8529

The fix reduces the CHANGELOG size from 114KB to 4.8KB (95.8% reduction) by:

• Keeping only the 10 most recent releases in the VS Code extension package
• Removing release images from the extension's CHANGELOG
• Adding a link to the full changelog on GitHub

This should significantly improve the performance when viewing the extension details page. Feedback welcome!

I have attempted to remove the change log and the release notes completely on the the nightly build and this issue still seems to happen! I have spent an entire day trying to track down the cause and a fix and have been unable to. Does anyone have any ideas? Happy to implement them in the nightly build to test them.

Interestingly enough I am unable to get it to lag when on my macos virtual machine in parallels
