I've opened PR #8544 with a fix for the token usage display issue when using OpenAI Compatible API providers.

The fix adds proper support for the "openai-compatible" provider throughout the codebase, ensuring it uses the same token tracking mechanism as the standard OpenAI provider.

The implementation includes:

• Support for "openai-compatible" as a valid provider
• Proper routing to the OpenAI handler for token usage tracking
• Type system updates and test coverage
• All tests are passing

seems to be a problem with the users proxy not providing back the data to parse and update. Cant repro.
