We use an OpenAI compatible gateway for embeddings that requires a custom header. Would be great if this could be set via advanced configuration.

Configure code base indexing feature to use an OpenAi Compatible gateway that requires custom header info addition to Authorization header.

Expected result

Ability to resolve Error - Invalid embedder configuration. Please review your settings.

I'm exploring a potential fix for adding custom header support for OpenAI compatible gateways in the code base indexing feature. I'll open a PR to share progress.

Opened PR #8910 with my attempt at addressing this issue. The implementation adds support for custom headers in OpenAI compatible gateways for the code base indexing feature.

The PR includes:

• Configuration field for custom headers
• Proper header handling in both SDK and direct API requests
• Comprehensive test coverage
• Security documentation notes

CI checks are currently running. Feedback welcome!
