I want more consistency when developing with Roo Code.
I like to add instructions at the end of Architect mode to automatically switch to Code mode. I also have a diff reviewer mode that I want used after Code mode. But these instructions are often ignored.

I believe it would be very nice to have the option to run slash commands or switch mode after task completion.

Desired behavior (conceptual, not technical)

Add an option to automatically switch to another mode or run slash commands after task completion

Nice to have : task context summarized before doing that.

I've created PR #8936 to implement automatic mode switching and command execution after task completion.

The implementation adds an onComplete field to mode configurations that allows defining:

• Automatic mode switching after task completion
• Command execution (including slash commands)
• Optional inclusion of task summary as context

This should help achieve the more consistent workflow you described, allowing modes like Architect to automatically switch to Code mode, or Code mode to run a review command after completion.

The PR includes comprehensive tests and error handling to ensure the feature doesn't break existing functionality. Feedback welcome!

As I said, i'm already trying to do this, and it's not reliable at all
