Grey box with no video info when replaying the same Youtube video

Description

When playing a Youtube video, stopping it, and then playing the same link again, a grey box appears with no video information (title/thumbnail) and no stop button. Refreshing the page resolves the issue. This only occurs when replaying the same video URL.

Expected Behavior

Video metadata and stop button should appear when replaying the same video.

Potential Areas to Investigate

1. Frontend state management - The UI may not be resetting or refreshing state properly when the same video is played again
2. Race condition between frontend and backend - The play endpoint returns before video metadata is ready, and the frontend may be caching or skipping updates for duplicate URLs
3. State polling - Frontend only fetches state on page load, not after play/stop actions, so it may miss updates when replaying
