@Sichao25 @cwsmith is this worth doing? I was thinking the self-hosted runner was the only option for GPU testing.

It is just for compiling, requires using an nvidia os image (https://github.com/SCOREC/omega_h/blob/b11cb3ae39c41c474d8955f56c10a44627d4110b/.github/workflows/cmake-cuda.yml#L11), and is 'slow'. If folks are not developing with GPU backends as their primary target then it is a nice early warning.
