Problem Description

Currently, the “Verified by Supervisor” checkbox in the pathogen test form is mandatory even though, in routine laboratory workflows, results are already verified when issued. This adds a repetitive step for users who already know the result is validated. Having this field mandatory provides no additional data value, but instead imposes a time-wasting obligation, especially in current settings where labs are not directly connected to the SORMAS system.

Proposed Change

Change the “Verified by Supervisor” checkbox from mandatory to optional in the test entry form and preserve existing behaviour for possible situations where the laboratory is directly connected to the SORMAS system

Added Value/Benefit

Improves user experience by reducing redundant steps, especially when verification is already embedded in the lab's internal workflow.
