Review of visual aids for SQISign depiction

Feel free to close if this is not the right place to open this. I work in an applied cryptography position and I am developing visual aids for materials covering SQISign that will be distributed to members of my company and elsewhere. I was wondering if someone would please review my visualizations to provide feedback in case they are not accurately portraying the concepts involved. The content is targeted at engineers with some cryptographic exposure but non-experts.

If these aren't horribly off-base conceptually and you find them useful, feel free to use them for your own purposes as well. I've included the code to generate them and many useful cryptographic primitives in manim.

Hello Dustin. Thanks for your message and sorry for the long wait. I think you're in the right place. If some day we start receiving many similar requests, we may move them elsewhere, but right now I don't think there is a better place to have these conversations.

Regarding your two animations.

1. All good with this one. If I have to nitpick, I'd say the two curves look too similar to the eye, and the mapped points too much "in the same place". If I were drawing this, I'd make two curves with very obviously different shapes and I'd "move around" the points more.
2. This diagram is more accurately describing SQIsign NIST v1 than the current v2. Indeed, since the second round the challenge isogeny starts from the public key instead of the commitment. This is just a technical detail: you'd get a secure signature either way, it's just more efficient to do the former, thanks to newly discovered algorithms between v1 and v2.
   As for what the signature contains, it's of course more complicated than that (see page 46 in the spec), but saying that the signature contains (φ,σ) is more accurate than (E_com,σ).
