Amateur user: how to use simple setup on Android app?

As someone who doesn't have any experience coding at all, I basically have no clue what do do here.
I love wake on lan. I have it enabled on my pc, and I use a wake on lan app on my android phone.
All I ever did in that phone app is fill in my mac and local ip (static) and it works, very well.
I now have downloaded sleep on lan, read everything I could here, understood maybe 5% of it.
Then I added a hibernate command to the config file which I found in another issue (I would like to hibernate via sleep on lan).
I now am trying to use the app to activate the sleep on lan. I have tried with both the service installed only, and with the sol.exe running and open.
Nothing is happening when I click the button in the app. (And yes I have reversed the mac).

Please note I don't need or want to use any other method of sleep on lan. I will only be using it via this app (if it's possible).
Whoever can help, please ELI15 it. I have a lot of PC experience, but as said no coding experience and the manual is 95% magic for me.
