Interested in Contributing Full-Time to HPX – Looking for Guidance #6688

Hi HPX community, I hope you're doing well! I'm reaching out to express my strong interest in contributing to HPX on a full-time basis (as a hobbyist contributor, for now). I'm truly inspired by the project's mission to bring parallelism and concurrency to modern C++ in such an elegant and powerful way. I have a solid background in development and system-level programming, and I’m confident in navigating complex codebases. I’m not expecting constant help or handholding, but it would be really valuable to know that someone in the community could guide me in the right direction if I ever get seriously stuck. My intention is to be a reliable and independent contributor, but not create a one-sided relationship—I really want to contribute meaningfully and respectfully. I'd be grateful for any pointers on: Areas where the HPX project needs the most help right now How I can ramp up quickly and start contributing effectively Any documents or issues I should start reading or tackling first It would mean a lot to get some direction on how to make the most impactful contributions. Thanks again for maintaining such a great project—excited to hopefully be a small part of it! Looking forward to hearing from the maintainers or active contributors Warm regards, |
