SEB 3.6 on iPadOS 18.X crashes : applicationDidReceiveMemoryWarning

Describe the bug
When doing BYOD exams with iPads, we observed that multiple iPads using iPadOS 18 had their SEB crashing during the exam. We resumed exam for those students.

For all of them, an error appeared in SEB Server logs :
-[AppDelegate applicationDidReceiveMemoryWarning:]

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create an exam with SEB Server + proctoring enabled
2. Start exam on multiple MacOS, Windows and iPad devices
3. See multiple iPads (almost 50% of total) crashing once during the exam

Expected behavior
No crash during the exam.
A more specific error message in SEB Server (?)

• We couldn't get client logs from student iPad (but have server logs)

• We have seen no "report error" button, but maybe student clicked on it. We will make sure that we send reports everytime there is a crash in BYOD exam.

It would be important to know if caching of screen shots occurred in these cases. If there are connectivity issues, SEB will cache screen shots on disc (the SSD persistent memory of the device), but metadata for all taken and screen shots not yet send to the server will be buffered in RAM memory (which might fill up, depending on device). I hope enough information is saved in logs, but make sure to use Debug log level.

Do you know that the easiest way to send SEB log files is to go to the iPad home screen after the exam and long tap on the SEB icon. In the context popup menu select Share Log File.

Likely I will need to optimize RAM memory use and maybe also improve logging. I will look into this.

You mention iPadOS 18 (18.3.2, 18.6.2). Did you sometimes also observe this on iPadOS 26?
