where is on and off positions of switches?

It is written several times that circuits could be damaged if the power switch is not turned off, also the small under the board with the sparkfun.com inscription should be turned off. But I can't find any description what the on and off positions are. So in order not to damage anything the project is temporarily haltet.
Can anyone by words or pictures or any other method tell me what are the on and off-positions of these switches ? (f.ex. when the small switch is viewed from the side with the "safecast" text, it should be in the rightmost position to be switched off....or the leftmost....).

The location of the on and off positions of the POWER SWITCH are (at least as of my kit, in April 2019) engraved on the top plastic plate. I agree it's very hard to tell from the documentation.
