Way to make auto_insert dot repeatable?

My config has the following setting:

 {
    keymap = {
        ...
        ['<C-p>'] = { 'select_prev', 'fallback' },
        ['<C-n>'] = { 'select_next', 'fallback' },
    },
    ...
    completion = {
        ...
        list = { selection = { preselect = false, auto_insert = true } },
    }
}

When I use 'cgn' to change next search term and using to auto_insert, the insertion is not dot-repeatable. So I cannot just dot to change the next term. Is there a way to configure it to be dot repeatable?
