TypeORM in version 0.2

What is the reason for using TypeORM in that old version?
I'm asking because newest versions have really helpful features.

Because this repo was created 2+ years ago, some packages are outdated. It was the latest version at the time when I created this repo.

I'm trying to migrate to NestJS 9.0 and Typeorm 0.3 in an application inspired by Sairyss' repo (btw, thanks a lot for this great repo! :)).
I managed to fix a lot but I'm stuck with the unit of work stuff and the migration to the new Typeorm DataSource concept.

If someone succeeded to update the unit of work part, I'm really interested :)

Update: this repo does not use typeorm anymore. It's replaced by Slonik because it's more flexible and performant for larger projects.

Great job man, im also move on to writing raw sql because learning sequelize, typeorm, prisma,... is just punch to my head with difference setup, syntax but it just sql in the core

Also there are tons of document/book to improve sql skills with sql

I am refactoring my project to slonik, it great since some low level stuff is handle by slonik and we just have fun to write sql

@Sairyss, I'm new to Slonik and not sure if Slonik is flexible or not, but I read this below info and coments at gajus/slonik#122. I'm a bit worried to use Slonik in a real world project... especially limits from this one "Slonik queries can only be constructed using [sql tagged template"... any thoughts?

• Slonik does not allow to execute raw text queries. Slonik queries can only be constructed using sql tagged template literals. This design protects against unsafe value interpolation.

• Slonik implements interceptor API (middleware). Middlewares allow to modify connection handling, override queries and modify the query results. Example Slonik interceptors include field name transformation, query normalization and query benchmarking.

Slonik allows you to execute raw SQL queries, unlike ORMs that generate those queries automatically, so it's pretty flexible.
For typical use cases template literals are fine. Don't be discouraged to use something just because of one negative comment.
You should try using multiple different libraries and decide what you like more and stick with that.
