Fix navbar overlap between links and auth controls at lg breakpoint

Describe the bug

I moved desktop nav to xl in src/components/Layout/Navbar.js to prevent overlap. Rework the layout so it remains usable at lg too by progressively collapsing items or condensing spacing before xl.
