In no-invalid.js, I see the correct link https://www.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json instead of https://schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json being used (without the www). Doesn't that still work fine?

Sorry, they're different while https://json.schemastore.org/schema-catalog.json/api/json/catalog.json works as expected.

@hyperupcall It seems https://www.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json redirects to no www. prefixed url automatically. Make sure using incognito mode to ensure no caches are used.

This issue affects taplo as well as it has hardcoded the https://www.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json URL.

So what is the correct/canonical path? Is this an error on SchemaStore's side? Or should downstream packages update the URL they are using?

While I get that https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SchemaStore/schemastore/master/src/api/json/catalog.json works, I expect a schemastore.org is more canonical (and may have more benefits, such as better caching)

Are you sure that https://json.schemastore.org/schema-catalog.json/api/json/catalog.json is the canonical URL to use? The filename with extension as a path segment seems like an error (even if it does work).

The URL you suggest does not feature anywhere on GitHub (other than this issue).

To make matters worse, there are search for api/json/catalog.json would indicate that the following are in common use:

• https://json.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json (works if you follow redirects)
• https://www.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json (doesn't work)
• https://schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json (doesn't work)

This would strongly suggest there's an issue with SchemaStore.

I just resolved the issue by changing the url at ota-meshi/eslint-plugin-json-schema-validator#387, and I believe https://json.schemastore.org works best, see also #4761.

I've pushed #4765 which fixes the catalog.json issue. In a private window, the following links return the proper catalog.json for me:

• https://json.schemastore.org/api/json/catalog.json (redirects to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SchemaStore/schemastore/master/src/api/json/catalog.json)
