Just want to add on to this, it seems to duplicate comments when using 1, 2, or 3 spaces. 4 spaces doesn't, I've not tested higher than that.

Want to add that it duplicate comments for me also with 4 spaces. I have comments in top of some of my constants and after that Dictionary was defined. I called gdformat and it duplicate the comments to every item in that dictionary.

I've confirmed the issue and did initial debugging - it looks like a bug in block formatter reconstructing comments. I bet _find_dedent_line_number reports wrong number, but I need to check further.

Note for myself - I use gdformat -c file.gd -d -s2 for debugging w/ pdb.

I ran into this issue today. Interestingly, the same project when running on MacOS gdformat works perfectly, but fails when run from my Linux machine. As far as I can tell, there are no configuration differences between the machines. They are both running godot stable 4.5.1 and I tried both the "known good" version of gdtoolkit (4.3.3) and the latest (4.5.0) on both machines. Happy to help dig in here or provide logs/info if it's helpful.

Actually, upon further investigation, this seems to only occur for some subset of files for me. (Amusingly, the gdlinter plugin gdscript file I'm using is one such file)
