Scoop LibreOffice Questions

I don't fully understand the Scoop manifest for LibreOffice, and am wondering if others can answer one or more of the following questions (even if you can just answer one of the questions, that will be helpful):

1. When installing LibreOffice with Scoop, are the fonts included with LibreOffice available to the system or only to LibreOffice?
2. Is the user forced to install all LibreOffice components, or are they presented with LibreOffice's UI in which they can deselect undesired/buggy LibreOffice components?
3. Are file associations affected?
4. Is it possible to transfer settings from a non-portable installation of LibreOffice to a Scoop installation of LibreOffice?

It is intended for use exclusively by LibreOffice and was introduced in commit e9f166d. If you're interested, you can refer to that commit to find the related PR and issues.

2. Is the user forced to install all LibreOffice components, or are they presented with LibreOffice's UI in which they can deselect undesired/buggy LibreOffice components?

3. Are file associations affected?

As shown in the manifest, the installation process for LibreOffice is similar to extracting an archive. Therefore, the original installation interface does not appear, and no related information is written to the system registry.

As a result, users must install all LibreOffice components, and no file associations are created after installation.

4. Is it possible to transfer settings from a non-portable installation of LibreOffice to a Scoop installation of LibreOffice?

In fact, the current manifest uses a non-portable package (MSI file); it simply employs a special method to make it behave like a portable version.

Therefore, if you previously installed LibreOffice using the MSI installer, you only need to ensure that the contents of $env:APPDATA\LibreOffice are not deleted during uninstallation. After installing LibreOffice through Scoop, you will be able to directly inherit your previous settings.
