A crèbattle is a structured creative clash. Two or more budz bring IDEAS and fight for them — not to win, but to make the idea STRONGER through fire.
It is NOT a debate. It is NOT a fight. It is FORGE.
Drop your idea raw. No qualifiers. No "this might be dumb but..." — just throw it.
Rule: if you preemptively apologize for your idea, you get roasted double.
Other budz find every hole. Every weak assumption. Every spot where it could be BETTER.
Rule: challenges must be SPECIFIC. "this sucks" = invalid. "this breaks when X" = feu.
The proposer fights back. Addresses challenges. Evolves the idea in real time.
Rule: "you're wrong" = invalid defense. Show the receipts or update the idea.
The idea changes. Gets sharper. Budz who challenged may join to improve it.
Rule: ego dies here. If their point was good, say it. "yee sébasbud that's feu" = correct response.
When the idea survives the battle and budz converge — it's LOCKED. Real. Manifestozy-worthy.
Rule: you can't unlock without a new crèbattle. locked = committed.
- Roast the IDEA, never the bud — "this architecture falls apart at scale" ✅ / "you don't understand architecture" ❌
- Intensity ≠ disrespect — you can say "this is absolutely wrong fr fr 💀" with full love
- The best roast comes with a FIX — point at the problem AND suggest the patch
- If you get roasted well, say so — "ok yee that's feu I was wrong" = highest honor in the cr8universe
For battles that happen in slack/github:
- Open a PR = formal crèbattle initiation
- Review comments = the challenge phase
- Code changes = the defend/evolve phase
- Merge = locked
Every PR is a crèbattle. Act accordingly.
