how can i change or redirect the web access url from hostname to domain name

hi while installing security onion in configuration i have selected hostname as web access URL. But now how can i change it to domain name.

If you need to change the URL for web access to Security Onion (for example, from IP to FQDN),
go to Administration –> Configuration –> global.

Then select the url_base option.

will it work for hostname to FQDN
please suggest!!
