Default user permissions seem messed up after trying to make custom roles

I was toying with the ability to create custom roles as noted in the FAQ, trying to make a role based on "auditor" but to also perform PCAP pulls at will for our networking team. Ended up not working and I unedited the changes to the relevant files, but now making new users with the default permission roles looks to be broken somewhere and existing users have strange errors.

My original superuser account cannot pull PCAP, says there is no data regardless of what I put in (there is certainly data)
New users, even superuser accounts, don't have permissions that work - error just going to alerts/hunt/dashboard

Any clues on where to look, or is there a way to reset the user permissions? No other changes were made.

Try running an so-checkin and see if you get any errors. if not, try pulling PCAP again and see what happens.
