Why do I need the custom Image? Some things are easier with the version installed via Nvidia SDK Manager e.g. pip, curl already installed. |

You need a custom image to ensure compatibility with your specific board's configuration files and DTB trees (among other things). While Nvidia SDK Manager's image has conveniences like pre-installed pip and curl, a custom image ensures everything works out of the box for your hardware. |

Do you also have a Jetpack 6 image for the reComputer Industrial J4012 (16GB)? In the download section, it seems like only the 8GB image is available. |

I want to make a NVMe for one jetson device and update the jetpack. I followed the instructions to flash the jetson device and create a golden NVMe. Now, I want to clone this golden NVMe to use on other jetson. When I insert the cloned NVMe, I get Invalid header detected on UEFI suppiler FDT,ignoring ... and it never boots up. Is there a way around it? I dont want to keep on flashin ubuntu on every jetson |

Hello, flashing the system involves more than just writing the OS to the SSD or NVMe; it also includes updating the firmware (such as the bootloader and UEFI settings). Therefore, directly cloning the NVMe may lead to boot failure. Each Jetson device has different hardware and firmware configurations, and the cloned system may not be able to recognize and boot correctly. |

Hi, I just try flash Seedstudio Jetson recomputer industrial J4012 device. I add 1TB nvme disk, but it is not important for me where will be installed system: on Jetson or on nvme disk. I try flash with Jetpack 5.1 using command: sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --flash-only --massflash 1 --network usb0 --showlogsand get output: Writing gpt_secondary_3_0.bin (parittion: secondary_gpt) into /dev/mtd0

Hi by any chance do you have a compilation of Tensorflow with GPU, that currently works with Orin NX 16GB: 0955:7323 NVidia Corp j4012 jetpack 6.1, tried but seems the build of your image crashes |

When flashing a J4011 with the JP 5.1.1 based system image, I get a success post on the host mac but the jetson gets stuck in an endless restart cycle every 2 mins or so with no post after UEFI screen. SHA256 of the image is correct. Any ideas what might be the issue here? |

Thanks for your message. Flashing from a Mac can sometimes cause issues, so we recommend trying again with a native Ubuntu machine. It's also possible that your Jetson module requires JetPack 5.1.2 or later, as some newer batches are not fully compatible with 5.1.1. This issue requires your verification: 1. Can the USB cable transfer data? 2. Is the connection of the USB cable firm and stable? This problem is usually caused by the data cable rather than the firmware. |

@Zibo: I have a fixed flashing setup which I use to flash Jetson devices almost daily. The USB cable is very short and high grade. It has flashed hundreds of Jetsons of all kinds with SDK manager and custom flash files. My current problem is that flashing a J4012 with the JetPack5.1.1 file shows flash success on host computer but the Jetson isn't booting. No post after UEFI screen. Flashing with the JetPack5.1.3 file failes, as shown in the flash logs above. Any recommendations? At the moment I have two J4012 at hand which needs to be flashed with JP5. Any ideas? |

@helm-lab Could you please show me if your module DRAM is from Hynix? NVIDIA's new module has switched from Micron to Hynix. If you follow the official image flashing tutorial, you will need to manually generate the pcn file. The latest release version of Jetpack 5.1.3 been successfully installed in PCN and the burning process was successful. |

@helm-lab Hello. Based on your description, it seems that your mod is an old one. Could you please try to install the old version of 5.1.3 Jetpack and see if it works properly?Also, please check the hash value of the Jetpack to rule out the possibility that the issue is caused by incomplete file download. |

I am trying to get my Industrial J3010 flashed from JetPack 5.1.1 to 6.2. I installed the package from this article. When running... sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --flash-only --massflash 1 --network usb0 --showlogs... it will fail for Welcome to Tegra Flash

@AeroEngineerUTK In NVIDIA's Jetson Linux Developer Guidehttps://docs.nvidia.com/jetson/archives/r35.4.1/DeveloperGuide/text/SD/FlashingSupport.html , it is clearly stated that "Use flash.sh to flash a Jetson device with Bootloader and the kernel, and optionally, flash the root file system to an internal or external storage device."And on the "Flashing Support" page, the use of the flashing script was further emphasized.These instructions indicate that the flashing operation needs to be performed on a host with the x86_64 architecture. During the flashing process, the tools provided by NVIDIA (such as tegrarcm_v2) are compiled for the x86_64 architecture and cannot run on the ARM architecture. |
