Yeah, all E5 modules are factory burned with read-protected(RDP) AT firmware, to modify the read-protect option you must use ST-Link to connect the module in STM32CubeProgrammer to modify it.

After modifying the read-protect option, you can use any STM32 supported burn program method to burn programs for E5 modules.
