I’ve followed the instructions and I can’t get any of the entities in Home Assistant to show up as anything other than Unknown or Unavailable. Any advice on debugging?

Is there any way to get a dynamic value for the alert text - ex. watcher sees a person, alert value is the color of their shirt?

The device's hardware has limited capabilities, so this feature isn't available right now.

Actually, one more question — once the alarm is triggered it never seems to go back to an untriggered state? Am I missing something or does all of this need to somehow be handled on the Home Assistant side?

We don't have a roadmap for this feature as the end-side AI models need to be retrained and deployed if they need to recognize other specific objects. For the issue of alarms, the plugin for HA only accepts data from alarms, you need to set up automated processing rules on HA when there are no alarms.
