very nice but... just confusing me:

"Run dfu-util -l to check if ReSpeaker Lite is detected:" so i need to connect it? Because after:
"Flash Firmware
"Connect the ReSpeaker board to your PC"

So should be: CONNECT TO YOUR MAC, check if ReSpeaker Lite is detected.... THAN "Flash Firmware". Don't need to connect again.

"Run the following command dfu-util -R -e -a 1 -D /path/to/dfu_firmware.bin:"

so the firmware is downloaded automatically?
or do I have to download it first from the link you gave me (https://github.com/respeaker/ReSpeaker_Lite/tree/master/xmos_firmwares)
if i have to download it first, where do i put it? will mac find it by itself?

Sorry I'm going to buy the product but I don't want to spend two days trying to flash it.

yes, you need to manually download the firmware (https://github.com/respeaker/ReSpeaker_Lite/tree/master/xmos_firmwares).

While performing this step, Make sure to replace /path/to/dfu_firmware.bin with the actual path to the firmware file you want to flash.

I bought this board, I flashed it with 1.0.9 and it works, then esphome project changed requerments to 1.1.0 48k firmware and I can't flash it. I download it, trying to flash, no error, but when I do listing there still 1.0.9.

Any idea how to upgrade it? Maybe I need to delete 1.0.9 somehow first?

Hello, I've enabled bluetooth proxy and respeaker is crashing and restarting, is not supported? or can be fixed?

Problem solved by cloning the entire firmware repository.

@nfs0619 thank you for your reply. The problem has been solved by cloning the firmware repository instead of downloading with wget a specific file.
