It would have been nice to have a 3D STEP file of the ePaper Display Board
So I can design 'fitting' housing

No, that doesn't help me ... You can ask the PCB designer to generate a 3D .STEP file - it shouldn't take them that long.

FYI I am using the display in portrait mode - hence the need to design a different housing and instead of leaving a largw window open for the buttons and the battery switch I will make larger buttons for Button 1,2 and 3

I didn't want a L-shape one, and a designer called Tolbri (https://www.printables.com/@Tolbri_124390) created a wall mount one.
I printed it and I am definitely in love to it.

That is landscape orientation and has that ugly wide opening for the buttons.
I guess I'll have to get out the caliper and ruler and measure it myself. I will post it on the net, not sure where.
