It took me quite a long time to figure out that the reTerminal E should be turned on before hitting install 🤦♂️. Might be good to note this in the guide ;). |

To view logs over the USB connection on e1002 I had to use the following: logger:
hardware_uart: UART0This is apparent from the Arduino example that configures the UART0 pins for logging. The ESPHome default UART for ESP32 S3 is USB_SERIAL_JTAG. That is not correct for the e1002 (See https://esphome.io/components/logger/) |

I think something has changed with the last ESPHome update, none of these tutorials make anything display on the screen. I did notice for text now you have to use the "it.printf()" instead of just "print". I cannot get shapes to render, and the online image code causes the reTerminal e1002 to bootloop or remain in a crashed state constantly (however, I can still flash a new firmware over wifi while it is in this state) |
