Description

Getting the above error while trying to execute my selenium code. I tried to find the latest CDP files from the downloads section but the change logs show the latest one available is 139

Its terminating the program after invoking the browser

The latest Selenium version (4.35) only supports v137/v138/v139

You probably need to downgrade Chrome to 139 until the next Selenium release.

Selenium has been a fantastic tool for me, and I really appreciate all your hard work.

I just checked Microsoft's release schedule for Edge. They are planning to release the stable versions of 141 and 142 at the beginning and end of October (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-release-schedule).

I don't mean to put extra pressure on you, but does Selenium already have an upgrade in the works for these versions as well?

I'm not sure if it helps, but it looks like Microsoft already has builds available for WebDriver for Edge versions 141 and 142 (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/webdriver/?cs=578062562&form=MA13LH).

🚆 Release train for Selenium has started. This includes CDP DevTools v140 support. Look for the new 4.36 version later today or tomorrow.
