Indicate children in the tree #1571
Description
It would be useful if we could see if there are child elements under a tree item, without opening it.
- what do want on the UI? Plus sign in front of tree elements?
- always show the indicator and hide it after a click, or display accurate info immediately?
- what additional info do we need from the backend? Extended API?
