Feature request: add version information

Thanks for your great work, this repository really help me a lot, but could you please add version information to the dll? I think it's quite useful.

In what way were you hoping to get version info added?

If you are using VS, you can simply add a resource file(*.rc) which contains the version info to the solution. I'm sorry that I don't know how to add version info in other build tools, but I think the .rc file is necessary.
