How to feather a BackdropBlur clip?

I'm using <BackdropBlur blur={10} clip={blurClipPath}></BackdropBlur> to blur a section of an image. The edge of the blur effect should be feathered so it's more gradual. Is this possible?

I looked at modifying the clipPath but couldn't find anything.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, could you elaborate?

In general I'd like to "blur" the clip, so that the backdrop filter edges are softer.

Sorry I'm having trouble asking the question clearly. I might create an example in photoshop. Can that be used for blurring only part of the image?
