What are the usecases for which react-native-skia should be preferred?

I am going through this library and am struggling to understand when should I use this and what benefits I am getting out of it? It sure can be used together with reanimated for beautiful and fluid animations. But that doesn't seem like the only usecase? Are there some apps using it in production? I am asking this so as to better understand what is the right usecase and also get an idea of what is achievable via this library

We are using it for our production app. Our app in related to gaming community, so we are using it for for a mini game in our app and to create certain ui elements that gives feel of gaming like experience.
