Resize <Text /> component on pinch

Pretty new to Skia but I expected my Text component to be able to resize

     const fontSize = useSharedValue(30);

      const pinch = Gesture.Pinch().onChange((event) => {
        const scale = event.scale;
        console.log('scale: ', scale); // I'm getting the scale correctly here but can't figure out how to apply it to the <Text />
        font?.setSize(fontSize.value * scale);
      });
