Waveshare USB-CAN-A converter

Hello,
I am trying to configure the Waveshare USB-CAN-A converter on a Kubuntu Linux system. The device is this:

I used this setting:

sudo slcand -o -s5 -t hw -S 2000000 /dev/ttyUSB0 can0
sudo ip link set can0 type can bitrate 250000
sudo ip link set up can0

SK connection is active, there are no errors in the log, but I can't see the data.
The command candump can0 also shows nothing.
But the converter LED flashes, which means that the data is there.
I'm definitely doing something wrong in the configuration, which I've collected on the web.
Any ideas?

I can't seem to find any info on the exact slcand command for NMEA 2000 and I've never used slcand.

It might worth trying with openplotter since it has direct support: https://openplotter.readthedocs.io/4.x.x/can/slcand.html

Hi,
there isn't the solution. This is the answer from the producer Waveshare:

Unfortunately, the USB-CAN-A does not support SLCAN or SocketCAN, so it cannot be used with canboatjs.

Just today I have successfully tested this product:
