reading rtl-ais udp data

Hi, I'm having trouble getting signalk to pull data from udp
I start rtl_sdr using rtl_ais -n -d 0 -P 10115 which opens udp port 10115 and I can see it's getting !AIVDM ais data (-n also sends ais to stdout), however my configured ais device on signalk is silent, I configured it via the UI (which I suspect may not be the best way of doing it). The resulting config looks like this:

Do I need to use another provider like providers/udp? I'm very new and any pointers grealy appreciated

Config looks good to me. Did you try with checksums off?

Can you post some of the output here so we can confirm that it is ok?

thanks for confirming, in my setup I run rtl-ais in a container using podman quadlet config:

I've masked (disabled) the service, tried running rtl_ais locally and I can see !AIVDM in the ~/.signalk/skserver-raw_2025-04-16T06.log which means I need to have a better look at my service definition

I've soved it by adding --network host to the container args

p.s. running sudo tcpdump -n -i any 'udp port 10115' was also useful for debugging
