Background color and opacity animation support

I'd love to be able to animate the background barrier color and opacity!

Just so we can provide a user with a transition into a showcase, instead of it being immediately dark/one color. This would provide a ton of immersion for the user, and feel really professional.

With a recent fix that I was made aware of (Link) my showcase containers are animating in (which looks great.) If the entire experience faded in together I think it would provide another subtle level of completeness.

I just want to understand the feature a bit better.

From what I understand, instead of showing the showcase background immediately, you’re suggesting we add a start and end animation for the background.

So the expected flow would be:

• When the showcase starts, the background animates in.
• Once this animation completes, the actual showcase begins.
• During the showcase, the background remains static.
• After the last tooltip is dismissed, an end animation is shown for the background.

Please let me know if this understanding is correct or if I’ve missed anything.

This is correct! I was considering ways of adding it custom, but this would be basically perfect. With both a duration on how long the fade in + fade out will be.
